Busy-Busy-Busy
I started the teacher credentialing program and then we decided it's not the right time. It was far too stressful for us both to be in school, take care of Sam, and maintain a clean household (plus, Trav works too). I am looking for a part time job now.
Last weekend we went to a 49'er game (Sammy hung out with Grammy Bev for the day). It was actually fun. I was stressed out and anxious about going over the Bay Bridge, but I prayed a lot. Yep, I hate bridges. Especially the Bay Bridge. It collapsed in 1989 during the San Francisco earthquake and I saw a made for TV movie about it when I was a child. Ever since that movie I've been afraid of that bridge. I watched way too many disaster movies when I was a child and I think that's why I'm a little more freaked out about these things than most people. Like, I saw a bunch of airplane disaster movies as a kid and so I've always had an intense fear of flying. Don't get me wrong, I will fly but I avoid it as much as possible. If I can drive to the destination, I will.
Sammy has mastered signing "please" and I just love when he does it! He loves bananas and whenever one is in sight he is makes the "please" sign. Now I'm trying to work on "food" and "drink". I use to take such pride in the fact that Sammy would gladly eat his vegetables. I don't know where I went wrong. It's such a struggle now and I worry that he's not getting enough nutrients. His favorite foods are bananas, cheese and anything that mommy and daddy are eating (except if it's vegetables). He also loves books and every time he goes into his room he makes a beeline for his basket of books. It just warms my heart when I see my little bookworm contentedly sitting and looking through a book. He hates when it's time to sleep and cries every time. He carries his little shoes around the house and tries to walk in mommy's flip flops and daddy's crocs. He loves doggies and every morning I say,"Go say 'hi' to the puppies!" and he walks over and greets them. He waves a lot and claps his hands. He's a very huggy little guy and mommy gets lots of hugs all day long.
